All Communities Matter host an Indie Market on the last Sunday of every month.
Family fun and community event supporting local traders in the Market Place and the Borough in Hinckley town centre held on the last Sunday of every month, excluding December.
A wide selection of goods will be available from bakers, crafters, makers and charities. There will also be children's entertainment available.

St. George's Day Celebrations

Festivities take place across Hinckley town centre.

Festivities take place across Hinckley town centre to celebrate our patron saint. Entertainment will include:
Market Place:
- Tom the Tale Teller with shows at 10am, 11am and 12pm
- Bakanalia Morris dancers with performances at 10:30am and 11:30am
- Stilt walking St.George and Snappy Dragon throughout the day
- Knights and Princesses Trail - pick up a map and answer sheer from the HBBC gazebo in Market Place, return to collect a treat
- Children's crafts supplied and ran by the United Reformed Church.
Argents Mead:
- Two women meet in heaven theatre show by the Red River Theatre Company. Performances will commence at the following times: 11:30am, 12:30pm and 1:30pm.
The Scout Parade:
- The parade leaves St.Mary's playground at 1:15pm.

Desford Heritage is celebrating VE Day by turning back the clock.
Join us for a weekend of fun and nostalgia as we celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day with the rest of the nation.
Desford will be turning back the clock to the 1940s, commemorating, educating, and celebrating all that was done during this decade to secure Victory in Europe. With military displays, dancing, live music, historical reenactments, fabulous food, and vintage vehicles, there’s something for everyone.
The Festival of the 40s will feature a Military Zone with: hundreds of reenactors, a wide range of military vehicles, encampment displays, interactive experiences, aerial displays and Spitfire flying experience with IFly Spitfire Simulator.
The heart of the village will be transformed into our Homefront Zone, featuring:
- Live 1940s entertainment, including The LahdiDahs, Kyle Evans as George Formby, Homefront Harriet and more
- 1940s dance demonstrations and lessons
- Air raid experience
- 1940s cookery demonstrations
- 1940s themed pubs and tea rooms
- 1940s Wedding display
- Vintage Vehicle displays
