Holistic Therapists' Directory
Introduction to the directory
The council recognises the importance of people living a healthy lifestyle. There are a number of health interventions which the council delivers in conjunction with its partners. These include walking for health schemes, Steady Steps programmes (falls prevention) and our 12-week GP exercise on prescription offer. Many of our interventions are based on enhancing an individual’s physical activity. We realise this may not be suitable or appealing to all, hence we are seeking to expand our offer.
Therefore, to complement our wellbeing programmes, we introduced another preventative offer. The production of this Holistic Therapists’ Directory was a first in Leicestershire. This document is designed to signpost patients/participants to a number of local holistic health and integrative (combining allopathic and complementary therapies) medicines.
The council is not endorsing alternative health providers or having a view on the effectiveness of these therapies but we know that some patients find value in these services and wanted to bring together local providers into one document to assist with the search for such therapists locally. Hopefully you’ll find a local provider who will assist you in improving your wellbeing.
A table of local holistic health and integrative medicine providers is contained in the directory. The list is not exhaustive, but is intended as a snapshot of the various therapies that are available within the borough of Hinckley and Bosworth. We welcome additions to the directory, so if you offer a suitable therapy and would like to be included, please use our Cultural Services contact form
Any costs associated with these services must be borne by the patient; unfortunately this is not a free service. The council is unable to offer a recommendation for any individual therapists. Please see our disclaimer page for more information.
