In accordance with regulation 4(2) of the Local Authorities (Referendums) (Petitions & Directions) (England) Regulations 2000 (as amended), I am giving notice that the number equal to 5% of the number of local government electors shown in the electoral register for the Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council authority's area as of 15 February 2013 is:
4286 electors
The number published above shall be used for verification purposes in relation to any petition presented to the authority in respect of a change of governance in the period of 12 months commencing on 1 April 2013.
The number equal to 5% of the local government electors for 2014 will be published within 14 days of 15 February 2014. If this number is less than 4,286, the number to be used for verification purposes in relation to any petition submitted for the period beginning on the date of publication of the lower number until 31 March 2014 shall also be that lower number.
