Apprenticeships and reporting data
Work experience and apprenticeships
If you are interested in apprenticeships or work experience placement contact us.
View our apprenticeship case study videos (youtube.com) with Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council employees talking about their experience showing first-hand the success and what it can lead to.
Below are some of the actions we achieved in supporting apprenticeships:
-
We support budget for two apprentice posts on a rolling basis
-
We will continue to identify apprentice opportunities as part of service workforce planning and a 'grow our own approach' to maximise people’s potential through employment and skills support
-
We have offered apprentices in areas including ICT, regulatory compliance, facilities management, plastering, HR, housing, electrical installation, built environment and design, finance and business administration
-
We pay a starting salary of at least £20,812 per annum pro rata instead of the lower national minimum apprenticeship rate
-
We make sure apprenticeships are considered as viable vacancies and new post options for new and existing staff
-
We support work experience and placement opportunities, working with the Department for Work and Pensions to support those not in education, employment or training (NEETs) to help develop their skills and suitability for apprenticeships in the future
