Local government boundaries
The Local Government Boundary Commission was set up to carry out reviews of local authority electoral arrangements. It also has a role in reviewing local government structure and boundaries, and carrying out parish reviews.
The electoral arrangements for the borough were reviewed in 2001/02 and the revised ward arrangements implemented for the borough elections held in May 2003.
The electoral arrangements for the county were reviewed in 2015/16. The revised arrangements were then implemented for the county council elections on 4 May 2017.
