Keep it clean campaign

Summer

Our campaign activities focus on engaging the public to remind them of their responsibilities, as well as stepping up enforcement efforts:

• Litter workshops delivered in schools across the borough to educate children on the effects of litter and of our responsibility towards their local environment
• Project 'Which side of the fence are you on?' - an area such as a street or a park is left uncleansed for a set period of time to demonstrate the volume of litter that would accumulate without council clean neighbourhood crews
• Cigarette litter focus 'Bin your butts!' - running campaigns to encourage smokers to find a bin for their used cigarettes
