Find out what's onSunday 10 November – Remembrance Sunday Service and Parade
The annual Remembrance Sunday parade and service, held in honor of those who have fought for their country in conflict. A service will take place at Hinckley War Memorial, Argents Mead, starting at 10.55am. We respectfully ask that you arrive by 10.45am. First parade will leave Mount Road Hospital car park at approximately 10.35am, with a second parade taking place following the service.
Friday 22 November and Saturday 23 November – Christmas lights switch and Tin Hat Fair
The big switch-on of the Christmas lights in Hinckley. Live entertainment will start at 4pm on Friday in Market Place with a range of food vendors, market stalls and street entertainment, followed by the light switch-on at 6.30pm. The Tin Hat Fair will be on Regent Street on Friday 22 November from 4pm to 10pm, and on Saturday 23 November from 12pm to 10pm.
22 November to 6 January 2025 – Lights in the mead
Thousands of twinkling fairy lights in hues of green, blue and pink will create a trail of lights around the trees, pathways and bandstand in Argents Mead, Hinckley from Friday 22 November 2024 until Monday 6 January 2025.
The 'Lights in the Mead' will be turned on in zones on the night of Hinckley's Christmas Lights Switch On from 5pm on Friday 22 November 2024, with all the lights being on in the mead from 6.30pm until late that evening.
'Lights in the Mead' will then be on daily every evening thereafter until Monday 6 January 2025, alongside the town centre's Christmas lights and Christmas tree in Market Place.
