Blue-lidded bin - recycling
If you are one of the small number of residents using our bag service, the accepted items list is the same as for the blue-lidded bin.
Use this bin for the following:
- Glass bottle/jar collections
- Glass bottles and jars
- Plastics recycling collections
- Plastic bottles, pots, tubs and trays (no black plastic)
- Plastic bags/carrier bags (not black bags)
- Bubble wrap
- Cellophane
- Cling film
- Plastic film
- Tins and cans collections
- Tins and cans
- Aerosols
- Clean foil
- Cartons collections
- Cartons (including tetrapaks)
- Crisp tubes (such as Pringles)
- Egg boxes
- Paper and cardboard collections
- Paper (including newspapers and magazines)
- Paper based gift wrap
- Greeting cards (no glitter, bows or badges)
- Catalogues, directories and yellow pages
- Books (soft and hardback)
- Junk mail
- Envelopes (with or without window)
- Cardboard (excluding dirty or greasy card such as takeaway pizza boxes)
We cannot empty the blue-lidded bin if it contains items which we do not recycle: Items we don't recycle
