Viability review:
- If a case is being made that a scheme is not viable when taking into account infrastructure contributions, an additional fee is payable to review this information. The fee is available on request.
Exemptions from charges include:
- Where the enquiry is made by a local authority
- Where the enquiry is made by a parish, town council or neighbourhood forum
- Where the proposal is for extensions/alterations for the direct benefit of a disabled person/s (similarly there would be no fee incurred in making a subsequent planning application)
- Works in respect of tree preservation orders
- Works to a listed building or in a conservation area, where no planning application fee would be required
- Advice about how to submit a planning application or a fee enquiry
- Any other pre-application discussion which the Head of Planning and Development considers is in the council’s or public interest to exempt it from a charge
