- Support for Veterans and their families (GOV.UK)- This directory lists organisations that provide support to veterans of the UK armed forces and their families.The Veterans’ Gateway helpline can provide information and referral support by telephone. Call 0808 802 1212 Monday to Sunday 8am-8pm.
- Advice for veterans' (ageuk.org) useful information and guidance for veterans and their families.
- Cocaine Anonymous (cocaineanonoymous.org.uk) is a meeting to help veterans who are struggling with addiction
- Loros (loros.co.uk) provides free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill adult patients, their family and carers across Leicestershire & Rutland
- Health and wellbeing advice and support (leicspart.nhs.uk). As part of this support, Op COURAGE is an NHS mental health specialist service designed to help serving personnel due to leave the military, reservists, armed forces veterans and their families.
Veterans' Coffee Morning in Hinckley
One of these projects is the Veterans' Coffee Morning, which takes place in Hinckley at the Green Rooms Masonic Hall on the second Wednesday of every month from 10am to 12noon. Older veterans, their spouses, carers, widows and widowers are all welcome to share free refreshments and a warm welcome.
