About the grant
The Community Equipment Grant fund is for parish and town councils and constituted community groups, to help fund items of equipment for use by the community.
Who can apply
This grant is available for parish councils, town councils and constituted community groups within the borough of Hinckley and Bosworth.
What can you apply for
A maximum of £3,000 is available for any one group or organisation, and there is also a limit of £3,000 grant funding for each parish area.
A grant is available for certain items of equipment. The following list details the items you can apply for and the maximum number of each item you can request funding for. We will fund either 50% of the item cost or the maximum amount of funding that is available for each item, whichever is lower. Find out about items of equipment funded under this scheme
How to apply
You can apply for this grant from 1 April 2024. Applications will close once the £25,000 of funding has been allocated.
To apply for this grant, you will need an online account. If you do not have an online account, you will need to register for an online account before you complete the application form.
When you apply for this grant, we will ask you for:
- Details of your organisation
- The parish where the equipment will be located
- Your contact details
- The item(s) you would like funding for
- The quotation amount for each item (you will also need to upload your quotation(s) in the form)
- The address where the item(s) will be located
Apply for a community equipment grant
What happens next?
Once you have submitted your application, we will review your request within the next 12 working days and send you an email with our decision. We may approve your application in full, approve some of the equipment you have applied for, or reject your application.
If the application is approved, we will send you an email detailing your offer.
We will ask you to read the offer and confirm whether you wish to secure your funding within five working days from the date of your email.
If you do not review our offer within this timescale, your application will be withdrawn.
Once you have accepted your offer, we will request your bank details and a copy of the invoice for each piece of equipment funded within this grant scheme. Once you have provided this information, grants will be paid via BACs within 30 days.
