Funding to celebrate 50 years of HBBC - community and voluntary groups

About the funding

Are you a community and voluntary group in the borough of Hinckley and Bosworth?

If so, you can apply for funding to help commemorate the Borough Council’s milestone anniversary of 50 years.

Grants of up to £500 are available to help towards the cost of organising 50th Anniversary related activities or events, this could include: 

  • Community events between 1 July to 1 December 2024 
  • Commemorative benches or trees 
  • Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council (HBBC) anniversary orchards or wildflower gardens 

Please note that food and refreshments included in applications will only be supported up to a maximum of £100. 

To qualify, your group will need to demonstrate you are an existing or established voluntary group, and that the Hinckley and Bosworth 50th anniversary celebrations are an extension of an existing offer to the community.

Please note: grants are not available for private street parties.

Applications will be assessed on a regular basis, so that funds can be allocated in a timely way, but please note the final date for applications is 1 November 2024. 

The scheme will close when all funds available have been allocated, which may be before the stated closing date.
