Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council HIRE (helping improve rural employability) project

About the project

The new Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council (HBBC) Hire project works with participants in a holistic way, supporting anyone unemployed and over 19 years, by looking at their barriers to employment and helping them to reach their goals.

If this sounds like you and your current situation, make contact directly via email or phone using the details in this page, or alternatively come along to a drop-in session for a friendly, informal chat about what the project offers.

After signing up to the Hire project, participants are offered key working support that focuses on their barriers to employment which might include:

  • Support with volunteering work experience
  • C.V. writing
  • Job search
  • Interview skills
  • Courses
  • Apprenticeships
  • Much more

There are no time restraints for offering the individual support.

Usually, the support is face to face or by telephone call on a weekly or fortnightly basis, depending on what suits, creating a plan of action to work through together.

Initially, there are monthly sessions planned at DWP Hinckley Hub (by asking work coaches for appointments), Hinckley library and Newbold Verdon library, and we are happy to work with you wherever you live within the borough.

Sessions:

  • Hinckley library 11am to 1pm on the second Friday of the month: 12 July, 9 Aug, 13 Sept and 11 Oct
  • DWP Hinckley 11 to 1pm on first Friday of the month:  5 July, 2 Aug, 6 Sept and 4 Oct
  • Newbold Verdon library 2 to 4pm outreach drop-in sessions on Wednesdays 10 and 17 July
