Business climate leaders toolkit

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has produced a toolkit for small and medium-sized businesses to support the business climate leaders campaign. The business climate leaders campaign is the latest phase of the government’s UK-wide Together For Our Planet campaign, which is encouraging everyone, including small businesses, to cut carbon emissions and help the UK get to net zero by 2050.

Workplace charging scheme

The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is a voucher-based scheme that provides support towards the up-front costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle charge-points for eligible businesses, charities and public sector organisations. Energy for Business

Innovate and collaborate with the University of Nottingham. Energy for Business can support energy innovators and those who want to become more energy efficient by forging links between businesses and world-class academics, researchers and graduate talent in the energy field. Delivered by the Energy Innovation and Collaboration Team and funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), this low-carbon innovation project offers product research and development, business support and capital funding to SMEs in the Leicestershire region.

Choose how you move - sustainable travel grant

The walking and cycling team supports city and county businesses who recognise the health, environmental and financial benefits of encouraging their staff to make commute and in-work journeys by active and sustainable transport, by offering a number of free initiatives. Leicester and Leicestershire businesses can also apply for business travel grants of up to £5000.
