Warm welcome
Public buildings and spaces around the borough are offering a warm welcome
The Warm Welcome initiative aims to ensure that everyone knows where they can go to meet other people, have a hot drink and keep warm for free. There may also be the opportunity to have a snack or a light meal, take part in activities such as crafts or playing board games, and to make use of computers or free Wi-Fi.
You can also access a range of information, support and guidance on issues such as energy efficiency, wellbeing, money and budgeting.
Our local community has embraced this initiative, and we are fortunate to have more than 50 venues around the borough, providing more than. These venues are open to all and cover a broad range of organisations, including community centres, churches, village halls, community libraries, charities and leisure venues.
This list of warm welcome venues is regularly updated. Find current locations and times in the various areas:
- Barlestone, Barwell, and Burbage
