Fees and charges
- Renaming/renumbering of existing property: £50
- Naming/Numbering of one to five properties: £50 each
- Naming/ Numbering for more than five plots: £30 each additional
- Naming of a street: £170 each
- Change to a development after notification: £60 admin fee plus £25 per plot
- Street re-naming at residents request: £260 plus all compensation met by applicant with a two thirds majority agreement from residents
- Written Confirmation of postal address details: £30
- Numbering of new flat complex: £35 per flat
This fee covers all administration costs including notifications to the following third parties/services:
- Royal Mail
- Electoral registration
- Office of National Statistics
- Council tax
- Valuation Office
- Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service
- Refuse services
- National address gazetteer
It also covers issue resolution with the following:
- Land Registry
- Severn Trent Water
- Electricity and gas providers
Terms explained
- After notification means after the council has renamed the street
- Compensation relates to monies paid to residents to help them pay for the cost of informing all parties that they correspond with, regarding the change to their address
