Local democracy for young people
Young people's activities
Young peoples' views are integral to the work we do in Hinckley and Bosworth. We always aim to adapt to the changing priorities of young people in our borough, creating a safe and inviting environment.
Our priorities are inclusion, as well as working in partnership with schools and local organisations to support skill-building and emotional intelligence.
Working closely with our primary and secondary schools, we provide a variety of information to our schools about democracy. We work to ensure that we provide information on democracy to every corner of the borough and are inclusive to all schools.
We also engage and consult with young people through our Voice model.
We have and will continue to do this via a variety of different methods including surveys, face to face meetings, workshops, delivering projects through working groups and more.
If you are aged between 11 and 19 years and either live in or attend a school/college in the borough, and are passionate about democracy and making a difference to the community you live in, then contact us for more information about our Youth Voice group.
If you are a teacher, student, parent/carer or are interested in learning more about the services that our team offer, please get in touch via the contact details below.
