The SHELAA 2020 assesses any sites submitted up to 30 September 2020.

SHELAA Report 2020 Addendum

An addendum to the SHELAA 2020 Report has been carried out to support the Local Plan Review.

This report and appendices should be read in conjunction with the SHELAA 2020 Report (above).

The finalised addendum report can be found below:

The SHELAA 2020 addendum assesses sites submitted to the Council between 1 October 2020 and 30 September 2021. Any sites submitted after 30 September 2021 will be assessed for within the next SHELAA review (2022).

Please note that due to this addendum being published, a 2021 SHELAA will not be published as the sites which would have been included are already published within the 2020 addendum.

SHELAA Report 2017/18

The SHELAA 2017/2018 was published in January 2019.

Any sites submitted through a call-for-sites process between 2016 and the Scope, Issues and Options Local Plan Review consultation in January to March 2018 will have been assessed in the 2017/18 SHELAA process, to determine suitable, available and developable sites across the borough.

This process has been undertaken in line with central government objectives, and a Leicestershire-wide methodology. Following this, Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council created a local methodology to apply to our own assessment process.

Please note the 2017/2018 SHELAA was undertaken under a previous methodology and not the September 2020 methodology, and therefore site assessment outcomes may be different compared to the latest 2020 site assessment.

You can view the 2017/2018 SHELAA documents below:

If you need to see a detailed assessment or constraints map of any of the sites, please contact the Planning Policy team and quote the site reference or site address.

The previous methodologies can be viewed by request from the Planning Policy Team.
