Music on a sunny afternoon
Local performer Sam Southall wowed the crowds on Saturday afternoon (20 August) with popular covers of popular music in Argents Mead.
The sun shone on Music in the Mead, a free entry event organised by Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council, which takes place on Saturdays throughout the summer months.
There will be more free live music performances taking place in the bandstand for the next three weeks:
- Saturday 3 September - LE8 Five Brass quintet perform well known favourites including early classical, jazz, Dixieland, rock and pop
- Saturday 10 September - Audio Spirit perform original songs as well as covers from Cher, Tina Turner, Amy Winehouse, Texas and more
- Saturday 17 September - Steven Faulkner will play a selection of his recent releases as well as some well-known covers
The performances all take place from 1pm to 3pm and are free to attend with no booking required.
