Local performer Sam Southall wowed the crowds on Saturday afternoon (20 August) with popular covers of popular music in Argents Mead.

The sun shone on Music in the Mead, a free entry event organised by Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council, which takes place on Saturdays throughout the summer months. 

There will be more free live music performances taking place in the bandstand for the next three weeks: 

  • Saturday 3 September - LE8 Five Brass quintet perform well known favourites including early classical, jazz, Dixieland, rock and pop
  • Saturday 10 September - Audio Spirit perform original songs as well as covers from Cher, Tina Turner, Amy Winehouse, Texas and more
  • Saturday 17 September - Steven Faulkner will play a selection of his recent releases as well as some well-known covers

The performances all take place from 1pm to 3pm and are free to attend with no booking required.
