A festive feast for shoppers

A Sunday food and craft market offering a selection of food plus crafts, collectibles and gifts will be returning to Market Place, Hinckley on Sunday 11 December, just in time for Christmas shopping.

There will be more than 45 stallholders at the event, which is open from 10am to 4pm, offering a range of goods including street foods, warming mulled wine and cider, crafts, gifts, collectibles. Visitors to the free to attend event will be able to enjoy live music from popular boy band tribute act, V4, Santa on Stilts and entertainment from Fosse 107 while they browse.

Executive Member for Town Centres at the Borough Council, Cllr Keith Nichols said: “Our summer event was a tremendous success, and I am sure that this will prove just as popular. There is something for all the family. Enjoy a tasty treat, do some Christmas shopping and get into the spirit of the season. As a reminder parking is free in council car parks on Sundays so, please wrap up warm and come along and soak up the festive atmosphere.”

Stallholders attending so far include: Wood smoked BBQ, food – crepes, burger van, Bavarian swing grill, slow cured meats, Indian food, organic farm BBQ, German fried potatoes, hog roast, mulled wine, fresh olives, jams/chutneys, food - cupcakes, cakes, cakes and bakes, baking kits, gin bar, bubble waffles, chocolate bouquets, doughnuts, barista coffee, pies to take home, wax melts, handmade jewellery, hair accessories, speciality coffee beans, Paua shell jewellery, home fragrance, crafts and kits, folded book art, earrings, Fosse 107, wax melts / bath bombs, metal crafts, handmade crafts, paper crafts, stained glass crafts, homemade dog biscuits, bottled gin, aromatherapy products, homewares, speciality cheese, toasties and paninis, spice kits.
