Free summer activity brochure for children, young people and families
An electronic brochure packed full of summer activities and events for young people and families in Hinckley and Bosworth can now be downloaded from the Borough Council’s website.
The in-depth guide to ‘What’s Going Down’ this summer is a free 44-page electronic booklet aimed at 0 to 19 year-olds and is packed full of information that is sure to keep them busy during the school holidays.
‘What’s Going Down’ can be viewed or downloaded for free
There is information on sports activities, a reading challenge at the libraries, and a whole variety of different events at locations throughout the borough. There is also information on the children’s Snapdragon Festival taking place in Hinckley (4 August to 6 August from 11am to 3pm). Most activities are free with the others costing no more than £1.
It is also worthwhile checking with the individual venues included within the brochure to see if there are any other activities happening; keep up to date with changes and if advance booking is required.
Councillor Robin Webber-Jones, Children and Young People’s Champion at the Borough Council said:
As coronavirus restrictions and guidelines continue to be relaxed and many families having to enjoy a staycation this year I am delighted that once again we have been able to pull together this essential guide. It is a great resource with details on a host of activities and events for babies, children, young people and their families in Hinckley and Bosworth this summer.
The brochure also has some great information and advice. I hope whatever you do this summer, that it’s fun, happy and above all safe.
