Feast Hinckley returns to Argents Mead
Feast Hinckley, the free to enter food and drink festival organised by the Borough Council, returns to Argents Mead in Hinckley town centre on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 August from 10am 5pm each day.
The popular festival will feature a large selection of vendors with food and drink stalls offering an enticing range of national and international cuisine.
Four live bands will play across the weekend and a 120ft giant inflatable assault course sponsored by Hinckley BID will be available for kids (minimum age five) and big kids at just 50p per go along with free hooping classes.
Other highlights will include local radio station Fosse 107, face painting and a stilt walker. Even four legged friends have not been forgotten with stalls selling a variety of pet treats.
For shelter or shade, large pagoda marquees will be set up in the Mead along with lots of extra picnic benches. Free admission (charges apply for some activities). For further updates visit the Facebook page @feasthinckley
John Coward, Assistant Town Centre Manager said:
After the disappointment of having to cancel this event last year along with so many other events we are looking forward to welcoming people back. We have taken care to put more space between stalls for this year and there will be lots of hand sanitiser on offer and of course we urge anyone feeling unwell with covid symptoms to stay at home to make the event as covid secure as we possibly can. It’s been really challenging this year but we hope this event will bring some much needed normality back and encourage people to visit and shop in our town. We look forward to seeing everybody.
Car parks are expected to be busy so anyone planning to come along is urged to walk or use public transport if possible. The postcode for the venue is LE10 1FH. The closest car parks are Church Walk, St Mary’s Road, Leisure Centre or Castle car parks. Parking is free in council car parks on Sundays.
