Please see below a statement issued on behalf of Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, Councillor Stuart Bray.

Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council Leader, Councillor Stuart Bray said:

I am very sad to hear the news that Wilko, an East Midlands based firm which has been a much-loved feature of our town for decades has today announced that it has officially gone into administration. 

I hope the administrators can find a buyer however we at the Borough Council stand ready with colleagues at DWP and other agencies to support anyone who may find themselves out of work.
