Weeds in the borough

Many residents have contacted us about overgrown grass verges.
We do not have responsibility for grass verges - Leicestershire County Council is the body with responsibility, and they’re aiming to boost biodiversity in some areas by leaving wildflowers to flourish.
However, we understand why many residents are concerned about the overgrowth since weeds can block drains and gullies. The Leader of Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council, Stuart Bray, has recently written to county councillor Ozzy O’Shea, who is responsible for this, to raise these concerns and to ask for County Council to re-examine their policy.
