Popular food festival returns to Hinckley
A POPULAR FOOD FESTIVAL wowed the public over the weekend (7 and 8 August) when it returned to Hinckley for its fourth year.
Feast Hinckley, the free entry event which is organised by Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council, took place in Argents Mead much to the delight of Hinckley foodies. It included a large selection of vendors with food and drink stalls offering an enticing range of national and international cuisine.
Four live bands performed across the weekend and a 120ft giant inflatable assault course, sponsored by Hinckley BID, was available to keep the children entertained along with free hooping classes.
Other highlights included local radio station Fosse 107 and a stilt walker. Our four-legged friends were not forgotten with stalls selling a variety of pet treats.
Executive Member for Culture at the Borough Council Councillor Keith Nichols said:
After the disappointment of having to cancel last year’s event along with so many other events last summer, it was a real treat to have this popular food festival return to Hinckley. I have seen so many comments from people relieved to see the return of some normality and saying how much they enjoyed the food and drink on offer. My thanks to the Events Team who have worked hard to make this event happen this year despite the ongoing challenges working within the guidelines to keep everyone safe and to the vendors and to everyone who came along and supported this event.
