Hundreds of Christmas shoppers and food lovers enjoyed a Festive Feast at Hinckley’s Christmas market this past Sunday (15 December).

The annual food and craft market returned to Market Place, selling a selection of hot and cold food plus crafts, collectibles and gifts.

There were over 45 stallholders at the event, offering a range of goods including street foods, warming mulled wine and cider, crafts, gifts, collectibles. Visitors were also able to enjoy live music from Richie Phillips, as well as entertainment from Fosse 107 while they browsed.

Cllr Mark Bools, Deputy Leader of the Borough Council, said: “Thank you to everyone who turned up to celebrate the Christmas spirit and get their festive shopping done. There is always something for the whole family to enjoy at this event, and it was good to see so many smiling faces enjoying tasty treats, warming drinks, or picking up Christmas crafts and gifts.

“If you weren’t able to join us, please remember there is still a chance to take advantage of the council’s free Saturday parking offer in Hinckley this weekend. The offer applies to Castle, Trinity West and Lower Bond Street car parks. You can also park for free in North Warwickshire & South Leicestershire College’s car park, accessible via Druid Street.

“The offer gives you the perfect opportunity to pick up some last-minute Christmas gifts in the town’s fantastic range of shops, traditional market and independent businesses.”
