Climate change - photography competition

Information and how to enter

The theme for this competition is our borough and climate change. It is free to enter for all residents of the Hinckley and Bosworth borough, as well as for those who attend school and education facilities within the borough. The winning photos will be displayed on our social media, on our website, and also feature in a future issue of the Borough Bulletin.

The competition will run until Thursday 12 September 2024.

The categories for the competition are:

  • 17 and under
    • Any photo which you think represents climate change
  • 18 and over
    • Your view of the borough - A photo you think best represents the borough as a whole
    • Nature and wildlife of the borough – A photo that shows the beauty of our natural environment
    • Energy in the borough – A photo that shows a form of energy whether it be renewable or non-renewable
    • Weather in the borough – A photo that shows the effects of weather, good or bad

Your photo should be a photo that has been taken within the borough of Hinckley and Bosworth after 1 January 2024. There is a limit of one entry per person for each category and only the most recent entry from each person in each category will be judged.

To enter the competition, please use the climate change contact form to submit your photo, along with:

  • Your name
  • Your age (if you are under 18)
  • Your hometown
  • The area of the borough the photo was taken in 

If you are aged 17 or under, your parent, carer or guardian must give consent and agree to the use of the entry as described in the terms and conditions and rules. By submitting an entry, Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council will assume that any consent needed has been given.
